It's subtly different then my Blues Queen & complements it well. I love the sound & you spec it out perfectly. I only played it though my little Mojave Coyote 2 el84 amp with one of my mixed 2x12 Mojave Celestion Cab. You are right on with putting in the J. lollar Imperials. Acoustically it's very lively & plugged in it's got the right growl I love with the bridge pickup & holy cow! on the neck pickup no muddiness & the right woman tone even with the tone rolled back. As I told you on the phone yesterday, when I opened the case I almost lost it. I've seen a lot of guitars, & this one is by far the best looking guitar I've ever seen. where did you find this Eastern Maple? It's incredible & the Nitro "L-5" finish on it is deep & tells a story of how thing use to be done, back when the bottom line was craftsmanship. The Eastern Maple looks like it might have been sitting in Jimmy D'Aquisto's shop & John D'angelico's shop before that, just waiting for that once in a lifetime "special guitar build" that never got built. But I tell you even if this were a plain Jane looking guitar or if I were blind I would still love & want it, so that says it all to me. This Eastern Elite humbles me, because I can see it in the hands of one of those artist that I look up to & not necessarily my hands. In this respect I feel very fortunate to be able to own it. All the work as always with you & your guitars are as perfect as I could imagine it gets, cause I've not seen a more perfect guitar then yours.
