Hi Chuck,
I’m glade you are so accommodating to us customers in so many regards & in the regard to radius.
Before I got my first guitar from you, I was concerned about spending so much money on a guitar I never seen first hand. Right off the bat was concerned with 1) the 16″ radius 2) the neck profile 3) the 25″ scale & I expressed those concerns to you. You simply said if I did not like the guitar to return it to you & you would give me my money back. Well that made me fell better, but I still had those concerns.
Now I own 3 CP Thorntons & 2 more on the way. What does this say about all of the concerns I had? I don’t have them anymore.
After playing the CP Thornton’s I found 1) I had less hand fatigue then my Gibson’s (I can play them longer periods of time) 2) Bending strings is a dream 3) They fell like I’m using light gauge strings) 4) This is a bonus, slide work is a dream even with those big ass 6100 frets & the strings set low action. Love those 6100’s & love your fret work. Love how you smooth the rosewood fingerboards. On your maple boards love the fact that you 1st finish the boards, then fret them, fantastic!
the neck profile is great also. My fingers will do those hard stretches without hesitation. I have baseball bat necks & thought your necks might not work for me & I was wrong, they are as right as right could be.
So great job with the 10″ & 12″ radius, however I’ll keep the 16″ radius. I can see you had an idea when you started making your guitars with the 16″ & to me that idea is right for me.
P.S. don’t get me started about the sound of these guitar. I’ll quote you “To die for” once again your right, & I play these guitars though Mojave amps!! & I’m not what you would call laid back player.
