We start with beautiful wood like these Curly Maple neck blanks.2
The joiner is used to straighten and level them.3
Curly Maple tops are bookmatched and glued.4
The tops are then joined to these Mahogany backs.5
Sanding the inside of a shaped guitar top.6
Purfling is installed in a routed channel in the top.7
You can clearly see the semi-hollow construction and through-neck before the top is glued.8
Carving the rough assembled body to shape using hand tools.9
Scraping the edges to achieve a smooth feel.10
Fine cabinet scrapers help achieve the final shape.11
Sanding the assembled body.12

Now ready for finish.14
After assembly, fretting and sanding, the guitar is sprayed.15
Each guitar is buffed to a high gloss.16
Next, premium components like these Lindy Fralin Pickups are carefully installed. 17
Gotoh 510 tuners are added.18
The instrument is carefully wired and the matching wood control cover is fitted. 19
The guitar is strung.20
The action is adjusted to perfection - note that there is no truss rod cover to fiddle with.21
